Hail Creek mine is a large scale, long-life open cut operation, located roughly 120 kilometres south-west of Mackay in the northern Bowen Basin region of central Queensland. With a mine life for 20+ years, production nearing 10 million tonnes per year and producing both coking and thermal coal products, Hail Creek is one of the premier coal mines in Australia. We have an incredible opportunity for you to kick start your career in Human Resources. This 2 year, full-time fixed-term role provides an opportunity to gain quality ‘on the job’ training, whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification in Human Resources.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the role will be accountable for providing support to the Human Resources Department, where you will be involved in day to day activities such as on boarding new employees, payroll, processing of employee benefits, and providing other HR transactional support as required.
To be successful in this role, you will be eager to learn, with effective time management, attention to detail, data integrity, confidentiality and good written & verbal communication skills. Developing and sustaining relationships with our key stakeholders is a must for this role. If you are a passionate, positive & motivated individual, you are exactly who we want!
Working a 9 day fortnight roster, this role offers village/ camp style accommodation and meals, and is drive-in-drive-out, with options to live in the Mackay/Whitsundays region.
