To succeed in this role, you will initiate and lead the marketing and trading activities of the petroleum products from the Companies’ refineries and 3rd party supply source in order to generate maximum profit as per the approved Trading Plan through the implementation of the strategies planned.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Prepare and obtain approval of the Trading Plan, Key Strategies and Initiatives that contains the volume and profit target to be achieve during the year.
To generate maximum profit that is made possible by trading activities of petroleum products and other energy commodities as per that approved Trading Plan.
To maximize profit from the marketing of the oil products from the refineries.
To monitor and ensure the performance of the team members and the execution of the trading transactions are on course so that the target set forth in the Trading Plan can be met.
Monitor the development of the market, geopolitical events, supply and demand scenario, changes in rules and regulation, new projects etc so that the trading opportunity can be identified. This will enable to team to venture into as many profitable trading activities as possible.
To create and enhance new business and existing business that will strengthen company’s position in the market/the relationship with the clients.
Dealing with shipping companies in the initial stage for price fixing.
To decide and execute the trading opportunities that gives maximum profit.
To take calculated risk while executive trade transactions.
To decide on the hedging strategy that will limit the downside exposure to the company.
To decide on which transaction should be given a priority over the others.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline with around 10-15 years experience in oil and gas trading with at least 3-5 years experience in the target market region.
Good knowledge of the Oil & Gas commercial aspects, Terms & Conditions, Contracts, Letter of Credit and other terms/means of payment.
