KAPSARC
KAPSARC is seeking a Publishing Manager to monitor KAPSARC’s publications activities, through reviewing the content, designs, illustrations, etc. and liaise with publishing agencies to ensure in time publishing and distribution of the necessary material that is compatible and in alignment with KAPSARC’s standards, guidelines, and brand identity.
Publications Management
• Contribute to the development of KAPSARC’s publications standards, policies, and guidelines, in order to establish a governance framework for all KAPSARC’s publications.
• Work closely with the communications team on the proper coverage of all relevant activities of KAPSARC in the designated publications, to ensure that branding objectives are achieved, and the right messages are disseminated.
• Liaise with the media team regarding any media related publications in times of reputational emergency, in order to preserve KAPSARC’s image in the energy market.
• Manage the planning, editing, and writing of content for a variety of internal and external communication channels and provide advice to communicate with KAPSARC’s internal and external stakeholders, in order to ensure consistency and alignment of messages and communications.
• Review the content and designs of publication materials (e.g. calendars, annual diaries and greeting cards, certificates, etc.), suggesting any required amendments and coordinates the printing and distribution activities.
• Provide inputs in the production of documentary films and audio-visual tapes related to KAPSARC’s profile, projects and other activities designed to promote KAPSARC’s image in the public.
• Ensure that all required publication information is made available in a timely manner through the designated communication channels and conduct any required updates to ensure information availability and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the creative and production team to develop any required formatted documents in accordance with specific templates and apply corporate themes to disseminate these documents across the organization to be used for any external communications.
• Ensure that published material on any communication channel does not violate or contravene with the KAPSARC’s culture, values, and policies.
Translation
• Supervise the translation of all communications content from English into Arabic and vice versa to provide the highest level of translation services to stakeholders.
• Apply scientific references to ensure that technical terms are correct and that the translated texts are understood by the reader linguistically, grammatically, and culturally fit.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
• Provide inputs to the design and implementation of policies, systems, and procedure so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Reporting
• Analyze the information and prepare reports and dashboards in a timely and accurate manner to meet the requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Related Assignments
• Perform any other duties which the organization may require to be carried out.
Recommended Qualifications and Years of Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or any other related field, with 12-17 years of relevant experience OR
• Master’s degree in Translation Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or any other related field, with 10-15 years of relevant experience
• PhD’s degree in Translation Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or any other related field, with 8-13 years of relevant experience
• Must have a thorough understanding of editorial and publication techniques and tools and how to create publications for dissemination
• Proven track record of managing editing and publications in research and development or consulting firm is highly preferable
