Roles & Responsibilities
Must have more than 6 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas or Power Generation industries, with
a minimum of 2 years as an Electrical Maintenance Technician.
Educational qualifications: ONC or equal in a relevant discipline or standard based qualification
(NVQ level 2) or a minimum of 3-year Electrical Engineering Diploma education (DAE, AMIA
or equivalent).
May be required to undertake Competency Based test witnessed by
Company Discipline Engineer.
Must have a fairly good knowledge of various process equipment’s
Must be able to read, write and speak English Language to IELTS 5 Equivalent
Must have a good understanding of QA/QC and HSE compliance audits.
Must be able to understand job tasks and take verbal or written instruction.
Shall be conversant with working on hazardous area equipment.
Must have sound knowledge of (IEC based) Area Classification, Ex standards, and Ex
Equipment (Basefa or ComEx certified)
Must have 2 years of experience in Electrical fault finding tasks.
Shall be able to use test equipment and have knowledge of fault finding.
Must have knowledge of terminating cables and requirements for cable glanding, laying and
jointing such cables.
Can read and understand general electrical drawings.
Must be competent to isolate LV drive.
Must be able to report close out activities & capture work history in CMMS.
Must be capable to become CEP within 6 months.
