JOB PURPOSE:
Assisting the Day Care Manager to provide professional leadership and management and to help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. In addition, providing mentorship to colleagues at all levels in the absence of the Day Care Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ year of experience in similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in educational field or equivalent.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with children.
• Empathy and understanding of children under five.
• Excellent analysis and conclusion skills.
• Defining priorities.
• Well organized, Committed, hardworking, and enthusiastic.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent written and spoken English language efficiency (For International Schools).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To deputize for the Manager.
• Ensuring a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual.
• Providing development and care for children aged 6 months — 5years.
• Responsible for any tasks delegated by the Manager.
• providing support to other staff within the Daycare.
• Assisting in complying with regulatory requirements.
• Promoting high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
• Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
• Ensuring that children are kept safe and that staff understand and, when necessary, follow Safeguarding Procedures.
• Ensuring that the general health and welfare of children are met including care, comfort and emotional well — being of children in your care.
