Maramer Contracting Company is a leading player in the construction industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality projects. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Welfare Officer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Identifying Workers Housing: Scout and identify suitable housing options for our workers, ensuring they meet our standards for safety, comfort, and convenience.
Transportation Arrangements: Coordinate transportation for employees to and from the worksite or camp, ensuring timely and efficient travel arrangements.
Medical Assistance: Facilitate access to medical assistance as needed, including arranging transportation to medical facilities and ensuring prompt medical attention for employees.
Accommodation Planning: Develop and implement plans for employee accommodation, considering factors such as capacity, location, and amenities.
Safety and Security: Collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, addressing any safety concerns promptly.
Occupancy Management: Monitor and maintain occupancy status for accommodation facilities, ensuring efficient utilization of space and resources.
New Hires Accommodation: Allocate accommodation for new hires, ensuring they are properly settled in and equipped for their roles.
Hospital and Airport Transportation: Arrange transportation for employees requiring visits to hospitals or airports, ensuring timely and comfortable travel arrangements.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field. While not always mandatory, having a relevant educational background can provide valuable knowledge and skills.
Previous experience of minimum 5 years in a similar role, particularly in the construction industry or a related field, would be advantageous. Experience in employee relations, or welfare management is highly desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with employees, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple responsibilities, coordinating transportation and accommodation arrangements, and maintaining accurate records.
Ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions is critical in this role. Problem-solving skills are necessary for addressing accommodation challenges, transportation delays, and medical emergencies.
