Primary responsibilities
Advanced experience in Modeling Development (Dimensional / Snowflake)
Advanced experience in ETL lifecycle.
Advanced knowledge of data modeling concepts including OLTP/3NF, Data Warehouse/Data Mart Design/Dimensional Modeling,
Advanced experience with Data modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, ER/Studio, power designer)
Advanced experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL,…)
Good understanding of information security to model data in such a way as to protect data from those not authorized to see it
Hands on experience with creating Conceptual Data Models, Logical Data Models, Physical Data Models, Data Flow Diagrams and other Data Management artifacts
Understanding of the different data storage/access models (transactional, data staging, operational data store, data warehouse, data mart, data federation
Experience in data management principles such as MDM , Metadata management, Data governance and Data quality preferred
Experience with Agile methodologies
Plan, create, coordinate, and deploy data warehouses.
Design end user interface.
Create best practices for data loading and extraction.
Develop reporting applications and data warehouse consistency.
Facilitate requirements gathering using expert listening skills and develop unique simple solutions to meet the immediate and long-term needs of business customers.
Supervise design throughout implementation process.
Support the development and validation required through the lifecycle of the DWH and Business Intelligence systems, maintain user connectivity, and provide adequate security for data warehouse.
Monitor the DWH and BI systems performance and integrity provide corrective and preventative maintenance as required.
Manage multiple projects at once.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
* B.S degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or related field
* 2 to 3 years of related business experience
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Excel, SQL, and general data manipulation abilities
* Knowledge of how data is applied in analytics / forecasting and the ability to identify issues in the data.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills are a plus.
* Excellent communication skills – both formal and informal.
* Strong computer competency required.
