Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Electrical Technician shall be highly qualified and have knowledge of electrical engineering principles/drawings/symbols/codes and standards.
Electrical Technician shall have knowledge about Power Plants safety,& safety rules for working on electrical and high voltage equipment.
Electrical Technician shall carry out PM, CM as per the manufacturer specifications and recommendations, during normal working hours.
Working hours is 8 hours per day, for six days per week, excluding lunch/prayer break.
Contractor shall provide Replacement during leave of the technician. Contractor shall send CV of the replacement technician to RPC for review, interview, and approval.
Technician shall carry out regular PM and troubleshooting & corrective works for all plant electrical systems and equipment.
Technician shall install and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of plant machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams.
Technician shall perform diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken parts.
Technician shall replace faulty electrical components, such as relays, switches, VFD (inverter)and motors.
Technician shall be able to use power tools, and electrical/electronic test equipment.
Technician shall connect power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
Technician shall 100% comply with PPE & report safety incidents and near-misses.
Technician shall maintain proper housekeeping activities.
At least 5 years related work experience is required, in power industry involving maintenance of electrical equipment for medium voltage motors, transformers, switch gears, breakers, etc.
Technician shall provide response to any emergency work.
