With over 15 + years of experience of designing / implementing E2E solutions (BSS/OSS) for Telecom Operators, the Chief Architect would overview the team of Architects and Business Analysts performing Demand management and Solutioning across the IT ecosystems. The key aspects of the Chief Architect profile would be :
Prior experience as E2E Solution Architect for the implementation for Mobile & Fixed Line Services (2G/3G/4G LTE and FTTX Networks).
Extensive experience in the design of End to End IT solutions (integrating multiple systems ensuring that designs adhere to agreed design standards and methods)
Has good knowledge of key Telecom BSS / OSS systems CRM, Billing, Provisioning, Mediation, Order Management, Integration and Inventory Management domains
Key Responsibilities of the Chief Architect would be
Over the Architecture team to Define and document high level solution and system architectures and explain how various components of the architecture will interact.
Work collaboratively with different stakeholders/teams involved in the project (Business, Network, Development, Testing and Operations).
Should have strategic business acumen and understanding of organization strategy and ability to design information systems to delivery that strategy
Should have excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts and solutions to different stakeholders.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills – demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills.
Should be able to provide the high level estimation for efforts & duration for entire project
Should be able to design the services using Services Orientated Architectures (SOA)
Should have knowledge of and certification in Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or equivalent
Ideal Profile
Essential Skills
TOGAF and TMF certifications are a must
Must have strong BSS/OSS solutioning experience ( > 5 yrs min ) in the domains as listed in JD.
Strong knowledge of Cloud based platforms is essential
Good program management fundamentals in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Experience in a Greenfield Telecom launch will be a plus
