Petrochemical Conversion Company (PCC) is currently looking for highly skilled business analysts for our Engineering Plastic and other compounding business. Our Business Analyst are the drivers behind our continued growth and success. The Business Analyst is a key position that interacts across all groups and levels within PCC. The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to provide analytical support for the product line. This role is also a key participant in the development of the product line’s strategic vision. The individual will play a major role in evaluating and implementing the tactics used to carry out the product line strategy.
Responsibilities:
Provides data reporting, capacity share analysis, product profitability analysis, pricing analysis, customer analysis, cost to serve analysis, competitor analysis, and other commercial analyses to support the business on a global basis.
Key player in the development of the annual strategic plan and assists in the development of the budget.
Manages the product supply and demand model.
Prepares various internal and external presentations to support the Business General Manager, Sales Managers and Sales organization
Performs monthly tracking of the business performance metrics against strategic plan and the budget. Create the monthly reports with commentary
Contributes to or leads a variety of cost analyses such as controllable costs, performance metrics, and monthly performance summary reports
Provides analytical support as requested by other business team members which includes a variety of economic studies such as analysis of potential commercial deals and economic analysis around plant operating scenarios
Manages project economic models
Supports and participates in commercial meetings like S&OP, Communications Meetings, Product Risk Management Team and Operational Excellence.
Analysis of month/quarter/year end results with bridges on price/volume/mix
Required Qualifications
Education of bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/plastic engineering, Business, Finance or related field.
A minimum of 6 years’ analytical experience in the compounding industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
