Senior Accreditation and Regulatory Officer

Position overview:

Responsible to coordinate and manage all regulatory aspects , DOH Audit/Inspection and all activities in relation to the accreditation and certification activities at SSMC.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Performs a variety of complex administrative and professional assistance work in planning, coordinating and managing the implementation, maintenance and adherence to the facility Licensed status through DOH standards for Hospitals.
Manage and co-ordinate communication pertaining to inspection/audit process, action plan submission and progress reports, as applicable, to DOH via appropriate channel.
Ensure DOH standards for hospitals are implemented and followed in the facility.
Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with the standards and recommendations.
To undertake quality assessments/survey as required and develop relevant action plans.
To identify issues affecting the facility Licensing status and develop appropriate action Plan to help meet those.
Ensure that required Policies and Procedures are issued to ensure compliance with DOH standards.
To keep up to date with current requirements from relevant DOH sources, DOH Policies and Procedures and regulations affecting Licensing status.
To appraise the Quality Director and Quality Manager on all issues relating to the DOH licensing status.
Performs a variety of complex administrative and professional assistance work in planning, coordinating and managing the implementation, maintenance and adherence to the facility accreditation through applicable standards.
Planning, implementing, coordinating and managing activities necessary to ensure continuous survey readiness and accreditation status.
Prepare and submit official reports to relevant accreditation bodies regarding Action Plan for Improvements.
Ensure relevant accreditation standards are implemented and followed in the facility.
To undertake quality assessments/survey as required and develop relevant action plans.
Ensure that required Policies and Procedures are issued to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
To appraise the Quality Director and Quality Manager on all issues relating to all issues relating to the accreditation status.
Develop and maintain effective systems to meet the administration and reporting requirements specified by the regulatory, accreditation and governing bodies.
Ensure that required reports, action plans for improvements and other information as required is prepared and submitted to relevant parties.
 

Education Requirements:

Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant field such as Quality Management, Nursing, Occupational Health, Safety, Environment.
Recognized certifications such as Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified in Medical Quality (CMQ).
Lean Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Analyst (CQA), Certified Quality Management (CQM).
 

Experience Requirements:

· 6-8 years’ work experience in accreditation and regulatory compliance; familiar with various accreditation body standards and its survey process, DOH Standards and inspection process.

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge and understanding of various accreditation standards and process.
Knowledge and understanding of the DOH regulatory standards and the inspection process.
Proficiency in English language.
MS Office and computer proficiency.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to present his/her ideas.
