Our team is seeking a self-motivated, skilled, and creative professional to join our fast-paced, multidisciplinary office based in Dubai.
The team member will be an integral part of the creative team, project managing and taking part in design work for a large range of landscape projects. Successful applicants must demonstrate UAE project management capabilities and have a passion for landscape architecture. In addition to having good graphic and illustration skills, as well as proven technical abilities and proficiency in using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Develop and oversee creative landscape designs in collaboration with the team, including site analysis, concept design, detailed design, construction documents and specifications.
Design, documentation and coordination of entire landscape projects.
Preparation of CAD drawings for landscape projects including plans, sections, details, etc. for the concept work stage, schematic design, design development, detailed design and tender stages.
Preparation of drawings and presentations for landscape projects using Photoshop, Sketch-Up, etc.
Evaluation and recommendations on contractors’ submittals for the various aspects of soft and hard landscaping works, in coordination with the Project Manager.
Resolution of all site design issues and specifications.
Development of specification documents and BOQ’s fit for tender.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Assist with documentation of project submittals.
Liaise and coordinate with internal and external team/s, design consultants and clients to understand their needs, develop design solutions that meet their requirements, and present design proposals and concepts.
Coordinate and collaborate with project team members, including engineers, contractors, and other professionals, to ensure project goals and objectives are achieved.
Attend client meetings and presentations where you will represent the company.
Inspections and quality control of works on site, in coordination with the Project Manager.
Arranging progress meetings and workshops in coordination with other disciplines on site, in coordination with the Project Manager.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in landscape design.
Qualifications and Skills:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
Professional and excellent spoken and written English skills are essential.
Proven 5+ years of landscape architecture and project management in the UAE.
UAE Experience is required.
3D knowledge (Sketch-up, Lumion).
Solid documentation skills (AutoCAD).
A general aptitude for design and documentation (InDesign, Photoshop).
Good planting/vegetation knowledge.
Sound knowledge of design issues e.g., planning, climate, and benchmark project outcomes.
Excellent organisation and presentation skills.
Solid construction knowledge and the ability to put together technical drawing packages.
Experience in dealing with clients and landscape contractors as well as good tendering and on-site experience, would be desirable.
Organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment, including excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
The successful candidates will be collaborative, hard-working, and passionate about innovative landscape solutions.
Ability to work well independently or in a team setting.
Driving license and own transport.
