Our client, Master Event Planners for major sporting events in the GCC region, are looking to recruit for an Accountant for their office in Riyadh.

The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

Financial Reporting

Ability to provide financial and cash flow analysis on the company financial ratios and provide monthly written analysis for the review of the finance manager.
Preparing reports and analysis and supports the development of new requests to meet the changing business needs.
Obtain relevant data from appropriate sources, ensures quality and accuracy of data, and delivers timely recommendations.

Accounting

Maintain detailed accounting including budget to actual statements. Appropriately record transactions on daily basis.
Manage general ledger accounting and deal with high volume of daily transactions.
Process weekly accounts payable.
Manage accounts receivable and billing.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and weekly cash flow reporting.
Prepare monthly financial statements including Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet.
Prepare month-end reports and ad-hoc reports required by finance manager.
Prepare job/project costing and track budget to actual.

General Ledger Accounting

Maintain general ledger and provide accounting tasks such as payroll reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, financial statement presentation.

Teamwork

Work cooperatively with finance manager, finance team, other colleagues, and management.

Others

Work under ERP environment to make sure all accounting transactions are properly posted, controlled, and reported timely and accurately.
Other tasks may be assigned.

Skills

Pertinent educational qualification in the field of Commerce or Finance.
Minimum 4-5 years experience in retail industry. Experience in Events or Sporting industry is a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting aspects like balance sheets, cash flow management, business forecast, and profitability.
Strong communication and negotiation skills in partnership management and inter-department coordination.
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
Sound knowledge of different types of financial reports and balance sheets.
Hands-on experience in handling MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
Languages: Arabic: Bilingual. English: proficient in spoken and written English.
