We are looking for a qualified Senior Data Protection Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
This position functions in the enterprise backup and data protection management.
A minimum of 5 years experience with primary data protection technologies including Veritas NetBackup, Dell EMC Networker, and Veeam.
This individual works with data protection software on a day-to-day basis
Has the skillset in supporting associated infrastructure, backup configurations, cloud archives, and recovery of customer data.
Experience with VSphere, Hyper-V, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
Experience with a variety of tasks including installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining Linux and Windows operating systems and subsystems.
Performing problem isolation, identification, and resolution.
Monitoring system and data backup performance
Administering system backups and recovery.
Administering Veritas appliances administering tape system; system documentation; familiar with Brocade SAN fiber fabrics, TCP/IP networking,
Problem solver with troubleshooting, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
