The Payroll Officers support the day to day functions of the Shared Services team located int Adelaide CBD and has a strong focus on supporting the team, rather than specifically one executive and is a very versatile role.

We are looking for someone who can slot in easily to our friendly and supportive team and have a great attitude to helping out where needed.

Requirements Of The Role
Update and maintain Archive Registers
Provide effective administrative support to the Payroll Teams and work effectively as a member of a customer-focused team
Maintain accurate and complete records of business activities created and received in accordance with the State Records Act 1997 and policies and procedures
Batch and distribute all payroll paperwork received in accordance with established work management practices and procedures, and record late paperwork
Update and maintain Batch Registers, record completed batches for work-in-progress (WIP) reporting and follow-up outstanding batches
Filing – Alpha sorting payroll records and filing necessary information into employees personnel files. Including scanning and archiving
Assist in process improvement by participating in a range of payroll and service delivery reform activities
Payroll knowledge is not necessarily preferred, however, good data entry skills + speed and accuracy is required with the ability to understand and work in the line with strict deadlines

Experience
These roles require a degree of lifting and bending to complete filing and archiving, making up archive boxes and labelling.

Knowledge
These positions are entry level and there is quite a bit of filing this would suit school leavers or university students

Special Conditions
A current National Police Certificate obtained within the past 12 months is essential
