Job Description
Should be self-driven and responsible for forthright reporting to the Director on all matters affecting the Company especially Finance functions or any other matters having direct or indirect financial implications.
Develop and implement policies, systems and procedures to manage all financial activities within the company efficiently.
Develop good relations on behalf of the company with Banks, Insurance companies and such other organizations having dealings with the company so as obtain timely support and attractive terms and facilities for the company .
Submit prescribed MIS reports on timely basis
Review / evaluate implementation of new accounting policies as per IFRS/ other systems and to be a the key player in its implementation in coordination with the team members.
Actively work with IT in digitizing and to automate manual processes;
Review reports and evaluation of actual performance of all the divisions/ profit centers every month and present the same.
Liaise with Statutory Auditors to ensure timely finalization and Audit of the accounts. Ensuring timely resolution of queries if any raised by the statutory auditors and compliance with ‘Management Letter Points/Queries , if any raised by the statutory Auditors.
Set up and implement internal control Systems, Commercial Policies, Process Mapping and Procedures in Finance and other Trading departments
Liaise with internal auditors and review the reports and implement all the suggestions made by them so that systems improvement is continuous process
Ensure all the assets of the company are duly recorded and initiate control processes to protect them from impairment or other losses
Ensure that the financial budgets / business plan are prepared on time and raise it to the Directors approval
Attend audit committee meetings and other meetings as required by the management from time to time
Manage credit control / collections in timely matters and liaise with the legal department for defaults
Play an active role in inventory management.
Review and manage internal financial processes across the operations through internal control team.
Liaise with Insurance companies to ensure that the company and it’s properties are adequately insured for all types of risks at most economic rates of premia in coordination with Group Finance.
Requirements
Professional accreditation such as Chartered Accountant/ Certified Public Accountant.
Thorough knowledge of Internal Controls and checks, Accounting procedures and finalization of accounts
Exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards
Good communication skills, both written and oral
Creating and maintaining interpersonal relationships – internally within the department and externally with supplier and Partners.
10-12 years’ experience in GCC companies preferably in Electronics/Retail/trading companies.
