Position: PR & Content Executive

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Duration: 6- month contract

The PR & Content Executive is responsible for conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, and proofreading articles before publication. This involves creating, improving, and maintaining content to achieve business goals. Sharing content to raise brand awareness and monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices.

Responsibilities

Produce well-researched compelling content for publication both online and print (Includes website, blogs, articles, press releases, email marketing, product/service descriptions, videos, and social media)
Create the content calendar for the year. Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets.
Ideate and generate newsworthy stories/articles that will be picked up by the Press.
Develop content that accurately reflects company ideals, and often research on current industry trends to portray the brand as thought leaders.
Accurate and consistent use of language that sounds authoritative, knowledgeable, and informative.
Read and understand external business-related articles and frame an opinion through thought leadership articles.
Maintain good connections within the mainstream media and local press houses.
Arrange interviews for Top Management with Press Houses and award nominations within the industry.
Attend events to draft and release post-event news articles or blogs for website.
Constantly liaise with Sales Team / Renewals Team to get valid information and present it in blogs/articles.
Good social media knowledge and ability to concise complex messages in simple words.
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic and boost website ranking.
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
Ensure compliance with the law (e.g. copyright and data protection)

Perform other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the manager in order to meet department/ division objectives

Qualifications

Proficient in English
A university graduate in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, English, or relevant field.
1-3 years of relevant work experience.
Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management.
Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Basic knowledge and understanding of using WordPress for websites, blogs, and article updates.
SEO, Web analytics, WordPress, and Press Release experience
