Job Title: Sales Manager – Travel Retail Middle East

Job Summary:
We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team and be in charge of managing and growing our travel retail business in the Middle East area. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in sales, customer relationship management, and a proven track record of surpassing sales objectives in the FMCG business, preferably within the manufacturing and trading of cigarettes.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement sales plans and techniques to meet sales targets. Maintain a thorough awareness of client demands and preferences to guide product development and marketing initiatives.
Manage and grow the company’s business with key accounts in the travel retail channel, such as airport duty-free shops, border stores etc.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including customers, trade partners, and industry organizations to promote the company’s brand and products.
Review business performance with important clients on a regular basis to ensure client happiness and spot potential for expansion.
Conduct market research, keep an eye on rival activity, and regularly update management on market developments, client demands, and product performance.
Plan and execute promotional activities to increase sales and brand visibility in the travel retail channel and provide regular feedback to the product development team on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to inform product development and positioning strategies.
Work together with cross-functional teams from marketing, supply chain, finance, and legal to ensure successful management of important account relationships, pricing strategy, and product availability.
Analyze sales data and provide regular updates/reports (sales reports, sales forecasts, and budgets) to senior management on sales performance, key account performance and market trends to ensure effective management of accounts.
Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, including those that relate to the sale of cigarettes, and make sure that all legal and regulatory requirements are followed.
Manage and inspire all employees working in duty-free, including promoters, merchandisers, and other staff, to reach their full potential and contribute to the company’s success.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a key account management or sales role, preferably within the FMCG industry, specifically in the cigarette manufacturing and trading sector.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
Willingness to travel internationally as per business requirements.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
