Chief Investment Officer
Objective:
To source and structure investment opportunities in listed and unlisted investments, analyze and execute the investment decisions. The position holder will also be responsible for portfolio management, designing and structuring investment portfolio, equity placement and capital raise and ongoing monitoring and reporting of the performance of investments.

Key Routine Tasks:
Establish effective and well-organized investment processes.
Develop Investment plan and strategy for unlisted investments across different sectors.
Develop Investment plan and strategy for listed investments in local, regional and international markets.
Track market for investment opportunities in unlisted assets classes which includes but not limited to private equity, real estate.
Plan and propose future investments, listed investments which includes but not limited to stocks, commodities, hedge funds etc.
Source and structure new unlisted investment opportunities across different sectors and asset classes.
Review and analyze the risks associated with each investment proposal.
Carry our detailed market research and due diligence on potential investments and liaise with the relevant market, commercial, financial, and legal consultants.
Draw up a detailed proposal for the identified investment with a clear recommendation on structure, terms etc. and present it to Management Committee and respective Investment Committee for approval.
Implement approved investment plans within the guidelines established by the Investment Committees and Board.
Implement approved 5-years corporate strategy of the company.
Monitoring the risks and returns on the existing listed and unlisted investments.
Generate monthly/ quarterly investment reports and present them to Management Committee, Investment Committee and Board.
Ensure strict adherence to the requirements of all concerned regulatory authorities.
Identify and implement strategic roadmaps for all the existing unlisted investments.
Identify and implement a well-defined capital raising and placement strategy for each specific investments.
Liaise with the bankers, shareholders to channelize the company funds effectively and with organization’s lawyers to determine legal and taxation consequences of alternative structures for proposed investments.
Maintain a dialogue with investee companies and major listed companies to gain better insight into their operations and management’s capabilities.
Keep abreast of developments in global economies and financial market and trends in investment analysis to assess their probable impact on the portfolios.
Keep track of portfolio management techniques to apply where required.
Participate in conferences and business gatherings in local, regional, and international markets to enhance the networking and business development of new investment opportunities.

Work Experience / Knowledge:
Minimum 10 – 15 years of experience in investments with a focus on managing the full cycle of investment for listed and unlisted investments.
Qualification:
CFA / Investments/ Chartered Accountant/ MBA/ Masters in Finance/ Economics or any investments equivalent combination of relevant education is required.
