**Job Responsibilities:**
1. **Supervision and Leadership:**
– Prioritize and direct maintenance technicians to efficiently resolve equipment breakdowns.
– Act as a technical mentor for technicians and Engineers.
– Lead and motivate the assigned team, ensuring optimal performance.
2. **Development and Training:**
– Manage personal development and HR administrative duties for direct reports.
– Develop and implement effective cross-plant training programs for continuous improvement.
3. **Technical Solutions:**
– Develop and implement solutions for technical/maintenance issues.
– Train technicians in associated methods and metrics.
– Use metrics to assess the effectiveness of maintenance/reliability activities.
4. **Collaboration:**
– Work closely with the Engineering group to address and resolve recurring equipment issues.
– Supervise short, long, and planned-term maintenance of premises.
5. **Regulatory Compliance:**
– Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal legislation.
**Qualifications:**
– Technical degree or certification in engineering, facilities management, or related field.
– Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is mandatory.
– Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to maintenance.
– Solid understanding of hotel systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
– Strong troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance skills.
– Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
– Customer service mindset with a prompt and professional response to guest requests.
