Aventus are working alongside a large company based in the region who are looking for an experienced Data Architect with 10+ years of experience in data architecture and data platform design. The candidate will expected to lead the development of Data Architectures in alignment with NORA and TOGAF. The ideal candidate will be TOGAF Certified.

Job Summary:

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building and managing the data architecture and data management processes for our organization. Your goal will be to ensure that our data is organized, accurate, secure and easily accessible to support our business needs. You will also work with other teams to understand their data needs and develop strategies to improve data quality and management practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data architecture plans, standards, and policies to support our business objectives and data governance framework.

• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify data sources, requirements, and opportunities for data integration, migration, and consolidation.

• Design and build data models, schemas, and data warehouses to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and availability.

• Optimize data processing and storage systems to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability.

• Develop and maintain documentation on data architecture, data flows, and data lineage.

• Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive data.

• Develop and maintain an enterprise data dictionary and taxonomy to ensure consistent use of data across the organization.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data management, analytics, and big data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, data management, or related field.

• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, data warehousing, data integration, and data governance principles.

• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, and SSIS.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, and Power BI.

• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
