We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our esteemed institution as a Lecturer in Cyber Security. As a Lecturer, you will have the opportunity to shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals by delivering high-quality lectures, facilitating engaging discussions, and leading hands-on practical sessions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver lectures on various topics related to Cyber Security, including but not limited to, network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, incident response, risk management, and secure software development.
Create and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that align with program objectives and industry standards.
Engage with students through interactive discussions, group activities, and real-world case studies to facilitate understanding of complex cybersecurity concepts.
Provide mentorship and guidance to students, offering feedback and support to enhance their learning experience.
Stay current with the latest developments and trends in the field of Cyber Security, and incorporate relevant updates into lectures and coursework.
Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching methodologies.
Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and other institutional initiatives.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Cyber Security or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the field of Cyber Security.
Strong expertise in one or more areas of Cyber Security, such as network security, digital forensics, cloud security, or information assurance.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to engage students in active learning and facilitate critical thinking.
Professional certifications in Cyber Security, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+, are highly desirable.
