PROFILE: Manage and lead the logistics operations for one of Oman’s largest Distribution business
EXPERIENCE: 15 to 20 years
Responsibilities
· Achieve SLAs as defined by the business
· Adherence to quality and processes aligned to the principal
· Maintain OPEX as per budgeted guidelines
· Ensure regulatory compliance and safety
· Operate the function as per stipulated policies, procedures and documentation
· Train and develop team to ensure effectiveness
Qualifications
Post Graduate or MBA with specialization in Supply Chain or Operations Management
SKILLS: Negotiation, Leadership, Team Management, Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Areas of Expertise
· Planning and implementing logistic operations as per Business targets, for sales and service fulfilment.
· Optimizing the logistic operations in terms of cost and efficiency
· Efficiently manage the fleet operations
· HSE should be top priority
· Able to develop new process and implement for efficient warehouse management
· Fulfilling regulatory requirements
· Understanding of the business requirements and setting up the process to meet the requirements of Internal customers
· Negotiating the contract clauses with correct judgment of implication on the business, while drawing commercial terms and conditions
· Assessing risk and prompt mitigation to ensure business continuity
· Maintaining inventory levels using appropriate models to design min/max/reorder levels, efficient distribution and warehousing operations in conjunction with Principal’s guidelines
· Forecasting with alignment to the long term business growth plans to match capacity requirements in terms of warehousing & transportation
· Ensuring a safe work environment for logistic operations including Warehouse
· Managing a large team
· Cost Optimization
· Software optimization
Preferred Experience
· FMCG, Retail Industry, Sales & Distribution Organizations in GCC / INDIA
· Analytical Skills
· Should have managed team size of 200-300
· Handled the warehouse of min size 20000 sq meter
· Hands on SAP
