The Strategy and Business Development Director will lead on identifying & executing Strategic Business Development Initiatives at corporate level and continuously modify company’s overall Corporate Strategy, while functioning as a trusted advisor at the highest levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
Strategic Contribution:
Direct the development and refinement of company’s overall vision, purpose and strategy
Keep the stakeholders up to date with the latest innovations in Therapeutics, Pharma Life Sciences & Medtech space
Make recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, viability of existing & potential new business models
Assess through personal efforts or working with additional resources, the strategic fit and shareholder value of new proposed initiatives to the organisation
Conduct commercial due diligence on potential target acquisitions, develop business plans and assess feasibilities of potential investments.
Lead the periodic analysis of outcomes and ensure reporting on any dynamic changes based on the gathered statistics, global and historical benchmarks and overall results
Leadership:
Steer the Strategic direction of the company by identifying relevant diversification opportunities for overall company and within the segments already present
Overseeing the successful delivery of Strategic Initiatives at corporate level, which may include multiple projects at a time
Support Core Businesses on strategic business development efforts
Proactive senior stakeholder management (Internal & External)
Operational:
Build solid relationships with key internal & external stakeholders
Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
Structure and ensure the development of reports encompassing the relevant analysis, findings and recommendations of strategic initiatives to the Board & Executive Management
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex data, including market and competitor analysis (market sizing, drivers and dynamics), customer analysis and internal analysis (strategic analysis, business model reviews and financials)
Identify, develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business (Local & International).
Present business cases or market opportunities to executives and management as well as External Stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Pharma and Life Sciences, or any related Healthcare field.
MBA (preferred)
Deep knowledge and understanding of the KSA Life Sciences market
10 to 12 years of experience in a Multinational Healthcare Environment
Background of working on healthcare corporate strategy as well as on strategic projects execution
High-Profile stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-changing and demanding environment
Technical skills including but not limited to: financial analysis, business performance analysis, operational due diligence, report structuring and delivery
