Purchasing Supervisor

A Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for managing the hotel supply of products and services. Your responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers as well as evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality and ensuring optimal stock levels.

Key Accountabilities:

Identify and fulfill hotel requirements for goods, materials, and services.
Establish professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
Look for new avenues where to obtain better deal to replace, if necessary old suppliers.
Communicate with approved suppliers for acquisitions of materials.
Ensure that all PR are properly accomplished with all necessary specifications.
Track orders to ensure delivery to the correct location in a timely manner.
Coordinate with the delivery team and follow up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
Maintain records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
Inspect stock and report any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
Extend the memorandum invoices and ensure that PO No. written on properly and further passed to Cost Control.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field may be required.
2-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, experience in hospitality and catering industry is preferred.

Skills/Attributes:

Fluent in English, both oral and written
Good knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Supervisory and management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Analytical skills and very well organized
