Headquartered in Dubai, Maxus Coral is a distributor and an omnichannel retailer of technology with over two decades of experience in distribution management and channel development. This role will be performed under the supervision and support of the Chief Accountant.
As the Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for the full cycle accounting. If you are a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with strong excel skills, and thorough understanding of retail, we believe you would be a good fit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare purchase orders in the ERP and review purchase invoices
Ensure matching of physical receipt of goods to purchase invoices
Maintain record of all AP and AR
Prepare TTs as directed by the Chief Accountant and managing other banking duties
Enter daily invoices in the ERP
Prepare MIS for the executives
Communicate with the customers on invoicing, and follow up on payment
Prepare and post all accounting entries in the ERP and participate in monthly and annual closing under the supervision of the Chief Accountant
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidate should have at least 1-3 years of experience in similar capacity, preferably in a retail or distribution set-up
Experience dealing with VAT and import/export is a plus
Commerce Graduate with Chartered Accountancy in progress
Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP etc.) and at least 1-year experience working with an ERP (We currently use Tally ERP 9 and Dolphin ERP)
Strong time management skills and an ability to juggle competing priorities
