Role Overview:

National Talents Company (TalentS) seeks a multi-talented HR Specialist for its Festival Operations Management team (FOM). FOM organizes two major arts events in Riyadh, KSA: the Noor Riyadh Festival and Exhibition, and the Tuwaiq International Sculpture Symposium.

Positioned within a high performing and fast growing team, the HR Specialist will support FOM team better maintain and enhance its working environment– improving employee satisfaction and talent retention by creating clear processes for employee feedback and experience management, establishing an onboarding and orientation process for new team members, defining career pathways, and managing recruitment for the team.

This role has tremendous opportunity for mid-level professional development in a fast-paced environment and is particularly suitable for a driven bilingual Arabic/English candidate already familiar with the arts management sector. This is a full-time, fixed-term position based in Riyadh and demonstrable mid-level experience within the HR function is essential. Familiarity with the HR sector in the GCC is essential.

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee recruitment process, including supporting the team identify and interview candidates, explanation of benefits, and leading contracts and negotiations
Oversee planning and roll-out of an experience management system to continuously track employee satisfaction and raise concerns before they become issues and build a healthier, happier workforce on the team
Develop and implement strategies to improve employee retention and satisfaction
Establish clear code of conduct, employee guidelines and revise employee handbook
Establish an orientation and onboarding process to welcome new team members and set them up early for success in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Support the Executive Director and other Senior Management in identifying areas for improvement on the team and implementing proactive strategies
Organize team-building activities (including occasional virtual and hybrid activities to include remote working staff)
Organize continuous learning opportunities for the team to enhance skills-building and career development
Development of career pathways for team members
Provide input into annual budget planning and management
Provide pathways for mediation and crisis management as needed
Provide proactive support team members through relocation process into KSA as and when required

Professional Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology, HR, or other related field
Experience working in GCC / Middle East is essential

Skills And Qualities:

English: Fluent
Arabic: Fluent (preferred)
Demonstrable competency in Microsoft suite softwares – Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
Comfortable using or adapting to new technologies, and familiarity with Monday.com and/or Slack useful
Dependable, proactive, energetic and confident liaising and negotiating with various internal and external parties
Highly competent using trackers, meeting deadlines, monitoring and reporting
Skilled at problem-solving and providing solutions, escalating only when absolutely necessary
Excellent communication skills, written
