We are currently looking for a Operations Officer to join our Operations Team. Banking experience is required.
Purpose of the role:
Process Transactions of the Bank’s current and future products in a timely manner with accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transaction processing(maker level)for products of the bank such as Inward & Outward Remittances, Account Opening & Maintenance, Deposits & Loans, Treasury transactions, Reconciliation, Reporting, Settlement and custody operations for Equities, Bonds (Sukuk), Funds and Structured Investment Products as per the policies and procedure of the Bank.
Scanning of relevant documents and filling the transactional and account-related documentations.
Preparation of operational MIS reports as required.
Ensure Timely Transaction processing with a high level of accuracy.
Participate in assigned user acceptance testing, training, and system roll-outs.
Work with team and other departments as needed to ensure smooth flow of transactions and streamlined processes.
Propose process improvement ideas to reduce the turnaround time, reduce errors and improve productivity
Support the line Manager in department’s strategic initiatives
Contribute to the team and staff development by training colleagues and new staff as needed
Participate in process improvement and system enhancement projects as needed and contribute towards requirements to improve efficiency and reduce error rates.
Participate in BCP exercises and Audits as required.
Undertake additional duties from time to time as may be required by Organization
Requirements:
3 – 5 years of work experience with at least 2 years at a similar capacity.
Prior experience in transaction processing for Private Banking, Treasury, FX, Payments etc. will be an advantage.
Prior processing experience in T24 system and SWIFT messaging is desirable.
Bachelor of Commerce /Banking/ Accounting / Finance
Working in Qatar with valid QID
