RISE SCE is seeking an Account Director – Sponsorship Activation to join as a key leading member of the sports, culture & entertainment team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Account Director has knowledge of sports and entertainment marketing and the role of sponsorship in the marketing mix. Candidates will be responsible for day-to-day client management and will have the ability to analyse and problem-solve issues for clients and staff.

Typical responsibilities include:

Develop sponsorship activation concepts and programmes, taking into account commercial and marketing objectives of the client
Design sponsorship activation strategies across physical and digital assets
Overseeing the production of all client materials
Creating and managing project plans and reports for numerous agency projects
Establishing and overseeing the creation of sponsorship activation and evaluation reports
Presenting key project updates and project reports on a daily basis
Leading client and stakeholder meetings and the overall direction of projects
Independently managing multiple staff members
Supporting new business presentations and proposals
Taking an active and leading role in ensuring client deliverables
Overseeing production and distribution of client reports, including status updates, meeting minutes and activity reports
Managing client or project budgets
Taking an active role in responding to RFPs
Leading agency brainstorms
Leading client meetings and guiding the overall direction of projects
Supplier procurement and management
Overseeing project results and achievements
Ultimately, he/she will need to work effectively as a team leader, taking responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating clients on progress

PEOPLE

The candidate will be required to engage a broad group of stakeholders on a daily basis. Key people skills include:

·      Ability to lead a team

·      Has a strong network of SCE industry contacts

·      Responsible for daily supervision and training of subordinates

·      Responsible for staff allocation on client work

·      Effectively allocates work to and supervises team members

·      Confident in presenting to clients and other stakeholders

·      Recognized as a strong manager from both a client and staff perspective

·      Manages team members and plays an active role in the appraisal process

·      Supports senior staff in interviewing candidates

·      Builds effective relationships with employees, clients and suppliers

CLIENT MANAGEMENT

The candidate will be experienced in client management across both sponsorship and broader consultancy. Key client management skills include:

·      Oversees full project delivery for large, complex projects relative to the broader business need, keeping them on track, on budget and resolving issues

·      Accountable for each project team and deliverables from both internal and external stakeholders

·      Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

·      Manages engagement timelines, prioritisation, and task management, to ensure all deliverables are accurate and on schedule

·      Manages communications and deliverable tracking documents

·      Sets ongoing prioritisation and review deliverables with line manager

·      Professionally and consultatively drives technical conversations with the purpose of providing education and creative recommendations to internal and external stakeholders

·      Creates, reviews and approves all client deliverables

·      Is able to identify gaps in client accounts and works with appropriate staff to produce and implement solutions

·      Has the ability to identify and react quickly when an account is at risk and respond appropriately

·      Proactively engages clients in dialogue about business issues

·      Ensures activity reports are completed accurately and on time

·      Ensures project plans are completed accurately for all client projects

·      Demonstrates solid presentation skills, including the ability to communicate and sell ideas to prospects

·      Proven ability to write new business and client proposals

·      Has the maturity to lead independent client contact

·      Reviews and approves client deliverables from junior staff

·      Engages clients in dialogue and independently manages communication flow

Candidates interested in this position must have:

·       A University Degree from an internationally recognized institution

·       5-7+ years’ experience in a sponsorship consultancy or rights holder environment
