Position : Exploration System Consultant

Job description : The incumbent will provide high level day-to-day consultation, support and data management of G&G applications. Deliver workflows and application practice services to UR professionals. As an Exploration Systems Consultant, and a subject matter expert in G&G systems technology, the incumbent shall provide high-level technical and professional consultation, assistance, advice, and guidance in the development and utilization of new and existing computer systems, equipment, techniques, and facilities.
With minimal supervision and broad guidelines provided by the Group Lead or Division Administrator, the incumbent undertakes studies usually involving several computer and G&G disciplines that result in recommendations for major system development or modification, potentially at both the hardware and software level. Provide G&G application consultation, develop plans, mentor younger professionals, manage IT development projects and furnish expertise regarding the G&G application equipment and/or systems within his area of assignment.
Provide data management and integration solution for Geological, Geophysical, PE and Drilling data.
Develop schedules for major equipment or program installations, upgrades, or conversions; coordinate details with vendors and other in-house support teams.
Provide first level application and workflow support to real-time fracturing and geosteering UR personnel.
Work closely with management and senior staff in UR, the Upstream Computer Center and Corporate IT to establish long-term requirements for computer systems and resources and develop comprehensive proposals for management, which address the acquisition of new computer facilities and systems that will satisfy those requirements.
Participate in the activities of technical and professional societies, serve on working committees within such groups, and may attend international conferences

Selected candidate(s) will be joining the Project Management team of URIT. He/She will work closely with the business functions and other colleagues as key member who will be responsible to oversight, project management, resourcing and quality of overall project activity.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, management information system, or geoscience
• Team Player
• Advanced degree is preferred
• PMP Trained or Certified
• 15+ years of Experience in Oil and Gas Industry (Preferable Upstream)
• 5 years if Experience in Project management and PMO
• Experience in setting up the PMO organization in an IT Environment
• Experience in Project management methodology, tools and template
