Job and position Description
Air Freight Route/ Cargo Hub Development Manager -RDM MARKETS ,and Develops specific Trades Lanes and / or markets in order to generate Volumes / Tonnage New Business and drive Profit. This includes developing and maintaining a portfolio of Airfreight/ Cargo Hub emphasis on key accounts and new opportunities. The Manager must be committed to exceeding Client expectations while respecting Airport policies
The manager must create customized processes solutions for the customer, he must be involved in pricing with local teams, involved and connected with colleagues from overseas and within our network and ensure competitive pricing. Work out customer target lists the local UAE , Gulf Market and Push for Local Sales team and the colleagues in overseas to win new customers . Identify Foreign paid business and create sales leads . Working on Airfreight RFQ for Pricing and Solution design .
Strongly experienced and involved in Business Development for Airfreight/ Cargo Hub .
Principal Accountabilities
Description of general nature and level of work being performed .. responsible for development of air Freight/ cargo products Planning and development Identifies and brings forward new opportunities – trade lanes / Cargo Airlines and Markets.
Establishes a prospecting plan.
Identifies potential Clients using knowledge of the market electronic database, industry trade associations, trade shows, networking events and consult other sources of information.
Work with local and global sales teams and head of Airfreight/ Cargo destinations and distributions with market objectives relating to the development of specific trade lanes and Links .
Preparing Action plans
Identifies decision makers at targeted clients.
Identifies target accounts.
Maintain a good understanding of client business segments and solutions proposed by the competition.
Identifies and analyses customer needs and develops solutions adapted to client expectations.
Negotiates prices and conditions based on type of service offering , process complementary service Flow-up and portfolio maintenance , makes regular Scheduled contacts with customers Vis , Telephone , email, and personal Visits on an ongoing basis develops and maintains excellent relationships with clients by attending Industry networking events and hosting customer entertainment meetings.
Collaborates with air Cargo / airfreight forwarders business development and the teams in developing innovative value propositions and customer solutions. attract new customers , clients and identifies and introduces additional business within the scope of airfreight/ Cargo in UAE and Internationally by introducing appropriate sales department .
Technical skills and other requirements:
Minimum 10 years of Experience in freight forwarding service sales / Marketing Management and operational understanding in specific area of Trade Lane Focus .
Experienced with excellent negotiations skills with Carriers and related services providers Strong Leadership Skills Education and training in the industrial sales and transportation related subjects Excellent computer literacy ( excel – Word – email- PowerPoint ) Contact network and clients Concrete business examples of product Airfreight / Cargo accomplishments relating to the specific trade lane of Focus Willingness to achieve higher sales targets, self-derived and motivated personality. Demonstrate strong communication capabilities Degree in Business, administration , business studies, sales , marketing development High level of leadership Extensive knowledge of AFR operations and customer service .
He must drive continuous Improvement in process flow of air freight/ cargo as well as with the warehouse and dispatch work streams. Able to work with and motivate a unionized workforce be properly adhering to collective bargaining agreements. He should understand our current situation to build Airport Airfreight and Cargo strategy .
