As an F&B (Food and Beverage) Design Lead, your primary responsibility is to oversee the design and development of food and beverage concepts, products, and experiences for a company or organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including chefs, culinary experts, marketing, operations, and design professionals, to create innovative and appealing F&B offerings that align with the brand’s vision and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute F&B design strategies: Lead the ideation, conceptualization, and implementation of F&B design strategies that enhance the brand’s identity, drive customer satisfaction, and achieve business objectives.
Menu and product development: Collaborate with chefs and culinary experts to create and refine menus, food and drink recipes, and product offerings that cater to the target audience and align with market trends.
Conceptualize and design F&B experiences: Create unique and immersive F&B experiences by designing and organizing layouts, ambiance, seating arrangements, lighting, and other elements that contribute to a memorable and cohesive experience.
Brand consistency: Ensure consistency in F&B design elements across various outlets or locations, maintaining brand identity and enhancing recognition and loyalty.
Research and market analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging technologies in the F&B sector to incorporate innovative ideas and maintain a competitive edge.
Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, operations, and design teams to ensure effective implementation of F&B design initiatives, maintaining synergy among various departments.
Vendor management: Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to source high-quality F&B materials, equipment, and furnishings that align with design requirements and budgetary constraints.
Quality control: Establish and maintain quality standards for F&B design aspects, including food presentation, plating techniques, serving ware, and overall aesthetics.
Training and support: Provide training and guidance to F&B staff to ensure they understand and adhere to design standards, enhancing consistency in customer experience.
Requirements:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, interior design, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus. Proven experience (5+ years) in F&B design, m enu development, and concept creation, preferably in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food and beverage industry standards, and customer preferences.
Creative and Design Skills: Proficiency in conceptualizing and translating ideas into visually appealing F&B designs. Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail when it comes to ambiance, color schemes, furniture, lighting, and overall design elements. Familiarity with design software and tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar applications.
Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey design concepts, ideas, and strategies to stakeholders at all levels. Ability to collaborate and negotiate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of F&B trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics. Familiarity with different cuisines, food and beverage service styles, and industry best practices. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance in F&B establishments.
Adaptability and Organization: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results. Flexibility to adapt designs and concepts to different locations, budgets, and customer segments.
