Taaleem are recruiting for a HR Payroll Officer to join their Central Office HR department April 2023.

We are looking foran astute HR professional with strong analytical skills, who preferably has payroll administration experience in a large education or multinational corporate setting.

Job Purpose:

Payroll Officer responsibilities include calculating employees’ compensation, updating internal payroll databases and ensuring timely payments. To be successful in this role, you should have a flair for numbers and be able to handle sensitive information. In addition, managing payroll processes and EOS Settlement processes, this position will further extend into data analytics across all our schools and present data in an understandable format.

Key Relationships (Internal and External):

Central Office (CO) employees, CO HR Team, Principals, Heads of School, HR Representatives, School Bursars, SEB, HRMS Developers, School Head of Business Operations (HOBO)

Key Accountabilities:

Executing all policies and procedures pertaining to payroll administration and processing.
Processing monthly and hourly payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment for all the employees.
Verifying time reports, update, compute and maintain up-to-date leave accrual.
Interfacing with staff in Administration teams to verify employee funding, appointment actions, appointment durations, plus resolve salary and pay discrepancies.
Calculation of hours worked by examination of time cards, time sheets, or electronic media. Prepares deductions for authorized and mandatory deductions, data on hires, terminations, and wage adjustments.
Knowledge about WPS, and all aspects of payroll processes and maintaining up-to-date payroll records in ERP software
Supervising accurate data records, processing monthly payrolls, reconciliation of payroll figures with the finance department, ensuring audit compliance, preparing & reporting on monthly MIS, providing staff guidance & procedures related to payroll and ensuring HR services provided are as per agreed service levels
Prepare and process final settlement of separated staff.
Maintain employment records and individually handle HR related queries
Maintain employees leave records, Leave calculation/Leave rules
Track all employees who have been removed from the business
Prepare end of EOS Settlement calculations and ensure timely submission of all relevant documents to required departments within the business to release payments.
General

Support HR representatives and provide guidance when needed
Additional projects as agreed by the HR Director
Person Specification:

Education: Good level of Education, Bachelor’s degree holder with excellent written and spoken English.

Experience: 5+ years in a fast-paced HR role. Previous experience of HRMS, WPS or similar system preferred.
