Legal Advisor
Job purpose
The job holder is responsible for performing legal activities with minimal supervision including legal contracts management, legal advisory, and litigation to protect CCHI rights and ensure operations are in line with bylaws.
Responsibilities
Keep abreast of latest KSA and international legislations and amendments affecting legal practices and insurance sector
Communicate new and current laws affecting processes on CCHI to ensure compliance with legal framework
Develop and/or review CCHI legislations and executive regulations to ensure processes compliance with legal framework
Provide advice to internal stakeholders on legal and contracting issues and decisions to ensure CCHI compliance with legal framework
Assist in developing CCHI framework, policies, committees and sub-committees and ensure compliance
Follow-up on board, committees and sub-committees’ decisions and ensure compliance with legislations and policies
Review CCHI internal policies consistency with local and international policies as well as CCHI objectives/targets
Review legislations developed and published by other institutions affecting CCHI legislations and operations
Draft, assess and/or review legal documents (contracts, agreements, MoUs, SLAs) in coordination with Procurement and Contracts and relevant departments to ensure abidance with policies and laws
Negotiate contracts with relevant institutions to preserve CCHI interests
Ensure legal content and risk management integrity relevant to laws implementation and intervention as needed to solve arising violations
Conduct investigations in violations of CCHI policies, procedures and contracts as per the results of internal audit
Conduct investigations related to complaints, grievances, internal administrative matters raised to Legal Affairs
Represent legally CCHI interests with government and organizational authorities including lawsuits, to ensure defending rights and properties
Register and protect CCHI intellectual property to preserve its rights
Education, Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Law or a related field
Knowledge of regulatory bodies laws, civil law, commercial law and adopted regulations
Basic requirements of oral and written English language (Basic)
Experience
3+ years of relevant experience
Experience in contracts, legal consultation, lawsuits management and relevant legislations and rules
Previous experience in government sector or regulatory bodies is preferable
