Venture Partner Group is a leading corporate sponsorship, business formation and PRO services company based in Doha. We are currently recruiting an experienced Legal Consultant to join our team.
This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s legal affairs, minimising legal risks by ensuring the relevant legal documentation is in place to protect the Directors and Shareholders whilst ensuring that the company is compliant with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documentation.
Maintaining legal document templates database.
Checking corporate documents of companies based in multiple foreign jurisdictions.
Performing legal research and providing advice on various legal matters for the Company as well as for the Group.
Proactively assessing and managing risks related in particular to the business environment and corporate structure in various jurisdictions.
Liaising with various lawyers and in-house counsels/advisors and negotiating contracts;
Assisting the Corporate Structuring team with company formations, liquidations, and deregistrations.
Working cooperatively with the Business Development team in order to provide the client with the most suitable corporate documentation in a timely manner.
Working closely with the PROs to understand what the public notaries and the official authorities find acceptable in terms of clauses in various agreements.
The following skills are required for this role:
Degree or higher certification in law
Minimum 3 years’ legal work experience (preferably civil law, corporate and commercial matters, compliance) with 1-year work experience in Qatar
Proficient in English language, written and verbal
IT competency (Microsoft office)
Excellent keyboard skills
