Take proper legal actions to defend company interest, and provide professional legal advice/opinion. Ensure that all contractual commitments respect local and international regulations and that the interests of the company are protected from a legal point of view.

Ensure that the company complies with Internal Control Standards linked to legal aspects.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

-LEGAL AFFAIRS

Provide professional legal advice or opinion to the Management, when requested.
Ensure that the assets/ interests of the company are protected in an efficient manner and take all relevant actions to settle any claims or law suits raised.
Settle all existing litigations, claims and disputes by taking proper legal actions to defend company interest, and provide professional legal advice/opinion.
-CORPORATE COMPLIANCE

Ensure compliance with local laws in terms of registration and legal corporate formalities.
Ensure awareness of company management to the legal compliance standards.
-CONTRACTS MANAGEMENT

Review contract drafts and comment thereof from legal and international contractual best practices.
Support the management in ensuring all contractual commitments are in respect to local regulations and protect the interests of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in law or relative degree is required at minimum.

Experience

4 – 6 years of experience in Legal Affairs, corporate issues and Contract management.

Job Specific

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong and presentation skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
knowledge and experience to develop and/or act on a logical approach to address and deal with problems or opportunities effectively.
Ability to manage tension or conflict between parties by using appropriate conflict management tools and methods.
Ability to identify the internal and external politics that impact the work of the organization.
