About the role:
Seeking an experience Legal Officer with minimum 02 years of progressive, successful experience for smooth day to day operation of legal department.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Dealing with general day to day operational legal enquiries from the business units/departments;
Assisting in drafting and reviewing corporate documents, including board/shareholders meeting minutes/resolutions, POA’s, MOA’s, licenses etc.;
Ensuring compliance with the prevailing laws of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;
Keeping abreast of changing laws and regulations by the various Ministries in Saudi Arabia and advising Management on the steps to be taken;
Identifying those matters which may require external legal counsel’s advice, assigning the matters to and coordinating with external counsel, providing updates on the status of the matters, where necessary;
Coordinating with external lawyers and oversee and manage court cases (including reviewing memos and maintaining proper updated record of all litigations;
Supporting the Contracts Department in studying contracts, performing risk analysis, assess risk mitigation strategies and explain internally to various stakeholders.
Advising on commercial matters, including contracts, corporate documents, etc.;
Assisting with customer complaints and draft routine letters and correspondences;
Working closely with internal stakeholders such Operations, Sales, Credit Control, Finance and HR teams to review any legal documents / matters;
Adding value to the team and identifying opportunities to improve the legal department’s systems and processes to increase productivity and reduce costs;
Dealing with ad hoc legal & contractual matters.

Graduate degree in law.
Minimum 2 years of legal work experience in an international law firm or corporate legal department.
Experience structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions.
Experience in the construction sector is preferred.
Fluency in both English and Arabic (speaking, reading and writing) is critical and candidates that do not meet this criterion will not be considered.
